About Me
With over 30 years of marriage, and as a devoted mother and grandmother, Tia—fondly known as "Momma Tia"—brings a wealth of life experience and compassion to her role as a therapy intern at our practice. Passionate about helping others, Tia is dedicated to supporting individuals facing challenges related to addiction, grief, and family dynamics.
Her nurturing spirit and genuine empathy allow her to connect deeply with clients, guiding them through their healing journeys. Tia is committed to fostering healthy relationships and empowering those she works with to find hope and resilience in times of struggle.
My Approach
Tia takes a warm, supportive approach to therapy that meets clients where they are. As an ordained minister, she offers Christian counseling for those who want faith to be part of their healing, while remaining respectful of each client’s beliefs. She works with individuals, couples, and families, using a family systems lens to understand relationships and patterns. Tia also uses motivational interviewing and reality therapy to help clients make practical changes, and she is trauma-focused in her care, prioritizing safety, understanding, and emotional healing.
Tia is completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University.
