My Approach
Lamont brings a grounded, compassionate presence to therapy, with over a decade of experience supporting adolescents and adults across community, nonprofit, and clinical settings . He specializes in working with anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, ADHD, anger, grief, trauma, and attachment-related concerns. Lamont is especially passionate about helping clients understand how their early life experiences shape their current thoughts, behaviors, and relationships- while also supporting adolescents in navigating both emotional and academic challenges. His approach is collaborative and tailored, integrating person-centered therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and, when desired, Christian counseling.
Known for balancing honesty with compassion, Lamont creates a space where clients feel both supported and challenged in meaningful ways. He approaches therapy with curiosity, believing that each client is the expert of their own life, and that growth happens through a strong, trusting relationship. As a therapist, he values flexibility while maintaining structure, allowing him to meet clients where they are while still guiding them toward their goals. Whether working with teens, adults, or individuals seeking faith-integrated care,
Why did you become a therapist?: "Rather than being a person who complains about everything wrong with the world, I have selected to be a person that assists others to thrive within it. I am inspired by seeing those I assist overcome challenges and grow in various areas of their life."
