My Approach
Renee believes healing doesn’t always begin with words, sometimes it begins with creating. With a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Wayne State University and years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in schools, community programs, and therapeutic settings, Renee helps clients explore emotions, process life experiences, and build healthier coping skills through both art and conversation. Her warm, supportive approach creates a space where clients feel safe to express themselves, gain insight, and work toward meaningful change.
Many people are surprised to learn that art therapy is not about artistic talent—it’s about self-expression, healing, and growth. Art therapy uses creative activities such as drawing, painting, and other forms of artistic expression to help individuals communicate thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to put into words. Renee works with both children and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and emotional regulation challenges. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your child, Renee is passionate about helping clients discover their strengths, process their experiences, and move toward greater clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being.
